Londra non ha deluso le aspettative dei ragazzi che hanno  effettuato lo stage. Ecco  gli appunti di viaggio.

London, the city that never disappoints.

March, 12th 2014, an ordinary day for many, but not for us. At 2:00 am we arrived at the meeting point in front of the school with the teachers and other students who would live this experience with us. We were really sleepy but the desire to start was strong. As soon as we arrived at Fiumicino Airport, after the various checks, we boarded the plane to London. After reaching Gatwick Airport we headed to the school where we attended the English classes, to take a short placement test. After that we took on the bus, the curiosity grew as our families were waiting for us. At the meeting point everyone was welcomed by the family. We were waiting when a lady in a true English style, with her inseparable puppy, came toward us. The house was very nice and warm, ideal for London’s climate. The lady has always been very helpful and kind to us. After dinner and a little conversation, we went to our bedroom. A week full of new experiences was waiting for us. The following days passed very quickly. In the morning we walked around the streets of London, the afternoon was dedicated to the study of the language, with Alison, our teacher. We visited from the more classic and touristic monuments like the Big Ben with the House of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, London Eye and various parks, to the most popular and strange places like Camden Town and Portobello Road, to the most popular streets of London, like Oxford Street and Regent Street. In general this experience has been very useful, from the cultural, educational and  linguistic point of view. March, 18th 2014, the week had come to an end, and it was time to say goodbye. With much regret and many souvenirs, we left England to come back to Spoleto. London is always London; you can visit it dozens times, but it  will always have something new for you to discover and appreciate

Londra, la città che non delude mai

12 Marzo 2014, un giorno qualunque per molti, ma non per noi.

Alle due di notte ci siamo trovati al punto d’incontro davanti a scuola, con gli accompagnatori ed altri ragazzi che avrebbero condiviso con noi questa esperienza. Il sonno era tanto, ma la voglia di partire ancora di più. Arrivati a Fiumicino, dopo i vari controlli, ci siamo imbarcati sull’aereo per London Gatwich. Arrivati a destinazione ci siamo diretti verso la scuola dove avremmo frequentato le lezioni, per fare un breve test d’ingresso. Dopo di che siamo saliti sul pullman, la curiosità aumentava e le nostre famiglie ci stavano aspettando. Al meeting point ognuno è stato accolto dalla rispettiva famiglia. Stavamo aspettando, quando una signora in perfetto stile inglese con il suo inseparabile cagnolino, si è diretta verso di noi. La casa era molto accogliente e calda, l’ideale per il clima londinese. Da subito la signora Amanda si è mostrata molto disponibile e gentile nei nostri confronti. Dopo cena e un po’ di conversazione, ci siamo recate in camera da letto, una settimana piena di nuove esperienze ci stava aspettando.

I giorni successivi sono trascorsi molto velocemente. La mattina andavamo in giro per le strade di Londra, mentre il pomeriggio era dedicato allo studio della lingua con la nostra insegnante Alison. Abbiamo visitato dai monumenti più classici e turistici come il Big Ben con il palazzo del parlamento, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, London Eye e i vari parchi, ai luoghi più popolari e bizzarri come Camden Town e Portobello Road, passando per le strade più famose di Londra come Oxford Street. In generale questa esperienza ci è stata molto utile, sia dal punto di vista culturale, che dal punto di vista formativo e linguistico. Il 18 Marzo 2014 la settimana era giunta al termine, ed era arrivato il momento dei saluti. Con molto dispiacere e tantissimi souvenirs abbiamo lasciato l’Inghilterra direzione Spoleto.

Londra è sempre Londra, potrai visitarla decine di volte, ma avrà sempre qualcosa di nuovo da mostrarti e farti scoprire.
